It’s really easy to pick up the idea, but somewhat difficult to master. Each building has its effects which either induces positive or negative score to surrounding buildings. Each time you reach a set score by the game, you get a new set of buildings. It’s a puzzle game based purely on score. Islanders isn’t a city building simulator like Cities: Skylines, Make Wrought Flesh 2 or slam like a DLC with another 10 hours of this because I want more of this weird, depraved, violent, sex fueled and androgynous folk inhabited planet. Was good fun, got all but 2 of the hidden achievements (other endings) and i only have 1 simple complaint. And although I am having fun with it and still recommend it, I would consider the negative reviews before purchasing. One thing that does kind of rub me the wrong way is that the developer has a video talking about padding out a game to get around steam’s refund policy, and I couldn’t help but be reminded of that while playing the game.
